Assist in directing and supervising scheduling of employees within established guidelines for allocation of nursing service personnel on duty. 9. Assist in directing, organizing and scheduling required resident assessments and related documentation for Medicare, Medicaid, managed care and Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) reimbursement. 10. Assist with interviews, hiring nursing service employees, conduct counseling interviews and initiate disciplinary action as necessary. 11. Assist with written employee performance evaluations and participate in the recommendations for salary increases, promotions and terminations. 12. Ensure proper coordination resident admissions, transfers and discharge with community agencies and other facilities. 13. Attend and participate in all clinical meetings as required throughout the assigned facility(s). 14. Remain proficient in all computer software implemented throughout the clinical department. 15. Consistently work cooperatively with administration, all facility staff, ancillary personnel and consultants. 16. Demonstrate consistent management of nursing service problems, emergency situations, and initiate “life-saving” measures in the absence of a physician. 17. Observe infection control procedures. 18. Ensure the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process is followed in accordance to State & Federal Guidelines. 19. Follow Resident Rights policies at all times. 20.
