Under the general supervision of the Manager of Perioperative Services, and the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Surgical Technologist is responsible for filling the surgical scrub role on all types of minor and major surgical procedures dependent on individual competencies in each surgical specialty. Assists physicians and nurses in various medical and technical procedures. These functions must be in compliance with the philosophy of the hospital, standards of practice and regulations of governing agencies. Working with consultant pharmacist as needed to assure compliance Ensures all charting is performed in a timely manner and in accordance with state regulations. Provides timely and honest communication with families about the resident's condition and community events Provides assessments for potential residents to determine their eligibility for Assisted Living. Provides on-call backup to community when not on duty. Maintains confidentiality of all pertinent personal or health information concerning residents and staff Ensures that any incident reports are completed properly and promptly Qualifications: Qualified candidates must be currently licensed as a RN in Minnesota with a minimum of 1-year experience in senior housing and/or geriatric nursing Candidate must either be certified or be able to become CPR and First Aid Certified within the first 90 days of employment Pay Rate: $36 to $40/hour
