The on-call caregiver should be a seasoned, experienced caregiver for senior citizens. HHA or CNA certification is desired, but a strong work history with elderly clients would be seriously considered if applicant was non-certified. The on-call caregiver has potential to make a significant amount of money. Full time work, overtime pay and a flat rate on call payment could all be combined in one pay period to make for a large payout. The main function of the on-call caregiver is to be available outside of regular business hours to the On Call Supervisor in order to fill last minute call outs and urgent client needs.
