Summary Occasionally JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE Performs sexual assault examinations while practicing within the scope of practice of the Oregon State Board of Nursing. Identifies medical stability or injuries, collects forensic evidence, provides/arranges for counseling and follow up care and testifies in courts when summoned. DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION The regional sexual assault nurse examiner (SANE) center provides services and resources to Linn, Benton and Lincoln counties in a private and secure facility. Staffed by nurses with specialized training, the SANE center provides immediate medical treatment, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, to patients who have experienced sexual violence. Additional counseling and patient support is also available. EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS Current unencumbered Oregon RN Licensure required. Summary Occasionally JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE Collaborates with the team members to develop and implement teaching plans and patient education materials based on national standards for patients of varying ages with diabetes, gestational diabetes, or pre-diabetes. Assists in development of educational programs for staff, support groups, students, interns and others as needed. DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION Samaritan’s Nationally Accredited Diabetes Education Programs utilize the advanced knowledge and skills of their interdisciplinary team - made of RN’s and RD’s who collaborate to offer group and individual appointments for education, medication management, behavior change, as well as working with physicians to better manage their patients and families with diabetes and serving as a resource for those interested in the most current diabetes treatment strategies. The department also plays an integral role in the hospital setting as well, working with hospital staff in the care and management of people with diabetes while hospitalized. EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS One (1) of the following required: Current unencumbered Oregon RN license. Graduate of accredited dietetic program in university or college, with completion of accredited dietetic internship. DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION The Hospice teams at Samaritan Health Services support patients and family members through the final stages of their illness. The Samaritan Evergreen Hospice House in Albany is a 12 bed inpatient facility that provides symptom management, respite care and room and board. Services offered include skilled nursing care, pain and other symptom management, medical social services, counseling, spiritual support, hospice aides, trained hospice volunteers, bereavement support and medication and equipment as appropriate. EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS Current unencumbered Oregon RN Licensure required. Healthcare Provider Level BLS required. BSN and/or previous HH/Hospice or case management experience preferred. Once you have completed onboarding, orientation, and training, you can start working with clients! If you have not previously completed the state-required 8-hour Home Care Pulse caregiver training, you will be required to complete the training along with the nurse-led medication training before you can work with clients. You will be paid to complete both trainings!
