Major responsibilities of this role will include one or more of the following: o Perform/direct ACLS o Independent rhythm interpretation and defibrillation o Administration of advanced lifesaving medications o Independent, templated (“RN-only”) visits for patient assessment, with action taken based on established protocols and/or clinical practice standards using clinical judgement to determine intervention timing/specifics. o Specialty patient education where certification/additional certificate is required for role (listed in job requirements) o Sedation o Telemetry monitoring & interpretation/management of rhythm changes o Assisting with complex procedures - (RN doing care / work on patient, or RN has role in treatment / procedure, etc.) o Advanced wound therapy (VACs, debridement, etc.) o Central line management (TPA administration) and maintenance (dressing / cap changes, access / flushing) o Device interrogation and interpretation with resultant action o Complex infusions (concurrent infusions, hazardous medication administration, blood and blood products, etc.) Work may also include patient care coordination, direct patient care, patient education, telephone triage/eVisits, and performing/assisting with minor procedures. May float to other areas on as needed for operations need. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: Clinical experience and/or interest in the care and management of patient populations specific to the area of employment is required. At least 1 year of relevant nursing experience is preferred. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: Nursing licensure is required. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred. LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact). American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
