The Dialysis Nurse Manager is a registered nurse (RN) responsible for leading the clinical and operational management of both chronic and acute dialysis programs. The Director of Women's Services will report directly to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and is responsible for strategic leadership along with the administration in areas of patient care, education, safety and quality. Women's Health Services includes Labor and Delivery, Mother/Baby, and the NICU. As a Director of Women's Services you will: • Collaborates with administrators, physicians, managers and other providers to facilitate planning, implementation, and evaluation of strategic plan and initiatives • Models & encourages professional practice that includes nurse autonomy, authority, accountability and responsibility within the department • Oversees development & implementation of care delivery model, establishes clear expectations based on standards of care defined by their professional & regulatory organizations • Executes successfully the established plans and the services through measurement, monitoring, analysis, reporting, and adjusting the direction, allocation and utilization of available resources • Consistent application and deployment of the Mission in Motion principles (AIDET, purposeful rounding, huddles, bedside shift reports, 10/5 rule, etc.) • Strategically establishes linkages with other key departments which facilitate the goals of patient care delivery • Conducts purposeful counseling/coaching sessions with direct reports for purposes of professional development (i.e., percent of performance appraisals done in a timely fashion, one-to-one standing meetings). • Identifies issues to the Chief Nursing Officer and takes an active role in leading the process improvement initiative to address opportunities for improvement Qualifications include: • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required • Master’s (MSN) degree preferred or obtained within 2 years of employment • 8 years as a practicing RN • 3 years as a nurse leader in the Labor and Delivery/Women's Services area • Experience in systems-level leadership • Current Maryland State nursing license • Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Work Schedule: Candidates must have strong experience and leadership in Labor & Delivery specifically.
