JOB QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation. Minimum Required: Diploma or degree in nursing. Preferred/Optional: Bachelor’s degree in nursing. EXPERIENCE Minimum Required: Two years’ general operating room experience or one year CVOR experience circulating/scrubbing CV cases, to include but not limited to: video assisted thoracoscopy, mediastinoscopy, coronary bypass grafts, lung resections, general thoracic surgery, aortic dissections, valve replacements, and terminology. Preferred/Optional: Two years’ CVOR experience- Competent in functioning independently in the circulator role in multiple complex cardiovascular procedures and in life saving situations.
