This individual should possess interpersonal and supervisory skills and have an understanding of Skilled Nursing. Assist with determining and monitoring the staffing needs of the nursing department and ensure the assignment of appropriate and adequate numbers of nursing staff daily for each shift to ensure that the needs of the residents met. Assist in the review annually at a minimum, all nursing services policies and procedures. Assist with the interviewing and selection with the Director of Nursing and Administrator’s approval all Nurses and Certified Nursing assistants. Assist with completing yearly written evaluation of nurses and nurse aides. Ensure that medical and nursing care is administered in accordance with the resident’s wishes and per the individualized care plan.
