Collaborates with physicians, nurses and families to establish and maintain a team approach to promote successful lactation. 6. Evaluates, maintains, and assists with the use of appropriate breastfeeding aids and equipment. 7. Assists in the design and implementation of individualized patient teaching care plans to promote consistent patient care in lactation management. 8. Keeps Lactation Coordinator informed of administrative and clinical matters pertinent to successful breastfeeding management and lactation consultant services. 9. Demonstrates knowledge and skill in basic breastfeeding techniques and the management of uncomplicated breastfeeding problems. 10. Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Immediately reports any mechanical or electrical equipment malfunctions, unsafe conditions, or employee/patient/visitor injury accident to Manager. Qualifications REQUIRED : Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations. Minimum of two (2) years of full-time experience as a RN post-orientation or post-residency training. Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
