Reviews clinical information and presents it to the ED Physician, as well as the on-call Psychiatrist to determine appropriate disposition of patients 3. Documents assessment and discharge plans/discharge disposition of patient in the medical record according to department standards. 4. Verifies Insurance coverage, when applicable 5. Facilitates referrals to other Healthcare facilities when appropriate 6. Serves as a resource for physicians, patients, and families 7. Provides compassionate, quality patient care in accordance with physician orders in a warm and friendly manner. 8. Takes and records measurements or readings. 9. Assesses condition and provides treatment for care of patient. 10. Administers prescribed medications. 11. BSN and two years of experience in psychiatric/behavioral health nursing or ADN with 4 years of experience in psychiatric/behavioral health nursing 2. Current licensure as a registered nurse by the State of Ohio. 3. CPR certification within 30 days of employment 4. Demonstrates competence in age-specific patient care as documented by the attached checklist 5. Aggression Management System within six months of employment 6.
