Licensed Practical Nurse LPN - Position Summary: Provides licensed nursing services to residents and may require supervision of other staff positions. Licensed Practical Nurse LPN - Responsibilities: Responsible for medication administration for the residents in compliance with Federal & State regulations. May be responsible for the admissions of new residents to include all admission assessments and documentation. Responsible for completing service plans. May be responsible for clinical system tracking (i.e. wounds or infection control) under the direction of the Director. Provide general consultation regarding healthrelated concerns within the community. Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently when listening, speaking, reading and writing. Notify physicians and/or family of any change in resident’s health and provides proper documentation. Respond quickly to all emergencies. Work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and effectively while maintaining close communication with all departments and staff members. Provide educational meetings for residents and staff and attend all required training, inservice and staff meetings. May provide oversight and direction for care staff. Understand roll in the Safety & Disaster Plan. Maintain confidentiality of residents’ and prospective residents’ information.
