Acts is currently seeking qualified candidates for the role of Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) in our skilled nursing neighborhood. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating new hire orientation programs, educational in-service/clinical programs, and training for all nursing personnel. Oversees the infection control program as a designated infection preventionist to comply with Federal and State regulations, and to provide training to nursing staff. Assists the Director of Nursing (DON) with management and administrative functions. Qualifications: Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida is required. BLS required. ACLS preferred. Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, BSN required. MSN preferred. Three years of Nursing leadership experience preferred. Responsibilities : Responsible for assisting patients with and per plan of care, the following: Baths, Oral hygiene, Dressing and undressing, Toileting activities, feeding, etc. Taking and recording oral, rectal and axillary temperatures, pulse, respiration and blood pressure when ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency) Safe transfer and ambulation techniques Exercise according to the plan of care Performing range of motion and other simple procedures as an extensional therapy service as ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency) Patient’s laundry Meeting safety needs of patients and using equipment safely and properly (foot stools, side rails, etc.) Observation and teaching of home safety practices Recognition of an emergency situation and knowledge of emergency management procedures Must follow patients’ plan of care and complete all tasks assigned Communicates in a constant, clear, and effective way with the client, family/caregiver and office Observes and documents patient condition and reports any changes, to the assigned nurse supervisor Requirements : Meets all training requirements in accordance with state and federal laws when applicable Ability to read, follow written instructions and document care given Possess and maintains current CPR certification in accordance with state regulation PPD or chest x-ray if applicable Successful completion of Maxim screening examinations Participation and completion of Maxim’s competency program Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements The Lakes benefits : part-time position.
