Education & Experience Medical Assistant certification or having attended an accredited Medical Assistant school. It is required to maintain an active and updated BLS certification. A High School Diploma or equivalent experience is required. At least two (2) years of experience as a Medical Assistant is required. Knowledge, Skills & Proficiencies Fluency in English and Spanish is required to communicate effectively with our patient population. Experience with documentation in electronic medical records. Excel and Word are a plus. Physical Requirements This position works under usual office conditions. The employee is required to work at a personal computer as well as be on the phone for extended periods of time. Must be able to stand, sit, walk and occasionally climb. The incumbent must be able to work extended and flexible hours and weekends as needed. Physical demands include ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
