Location: Hematology Oncology of Indiana Pay Range: $24.83 - $46.12 Job Description Summary: Provides safe, accurate and efficient patient care, including but not limited to: patient assessment, review of labs and vital signs, medication safety, dose verification, and drug administration. Follows all Job Breakdown Instructions (JBIs) associated with role. Provides triage care when necessary. Communicates patient condition effectively to multidisciplinary team members. Job Summary: Clinical Care Reviewer II is responsible for processing medical necessity reviews for appropriateness of authorization for health care services, assisting with discharge planning activities (i.e. DME, home health services) and care coordination for members, as well as monitoring the delivery of healthcare services. Provides assistance to the surgeon in the operating room as allowed by professional and legal standards. Assists in turnover of the operating room after the procedure ensuring proper routing and/or processing of all specimens, equipment, instrumentation and supplies. Works as a member of the surgical team with surgeons, anesthesiologists, registered nurses, and other surgical personnel. Requires graduation from a nationally accredited licensed practical nursing program. Requires an active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) LPN license. Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
