Summary: The Nursing Informatics Coordinator RN utilizes clinical expertise and knowledge of patient care, operational processes and information systems for effectively supporting the design, development, implementation and evaluation of patient care within the electronic health record. Participates in the ongoing development of automated processes and tools related to quality, safety, and regulatory requirements. The Clinical Nursing Informatics Coordinator acts as a translator, working closely with information systems to ensure that clinical user requirements are documented, tested and implemented according to specification. Directly supports the Manager of Clinical Nursing Informatics by participating in end-user training, supporting system upgrades and evaluating post-go live functionality and usage. The primary responsibility of the Infusion Nursing Informatics Coordinator RN is to support the implementation and ongoing optimization of Lean Taas across the relevant HUP-based infusion sites. The Infusion Nursing Informatics Coordinator RN will also be responsible for:• Alaris/Epic interoperability implementation and optimization across HUP outpatient infusion sites at PCAM, VF, and Radnor• Barcode Medication Administration implementation and optimization across HUP outpatient infusion sites at PCAM, VF, and Radnor • Project support for quality improvement efforts in Infusion across the system• Directly supporting the Infusion Manager of Clinical Nursing Informatics in the oversight of all nursing technology, informatics, EPIC, and Information Services needs for the infusion enterprise• Directly manages Infusion Scheduling Patient Services Coordinators (PSC) Responsibilities: Communicates the mission, vision and goals of HUP Nursing Service in all interactions with nursing personnel and other disciplines/departments.
