Job Overview Provides expert Family-Centered Care across the wellness-illness continuum, providing primary, acute, chronic and critical care to infants and toddlers. In collaboration with other health care providers the AC-PNP will provide initial, ongoing and comprehensive care, including taking complete histories; providing physical examinations and diagnosing, treating and managing patients with acute and chronic illnesses and diseases. This includes ordering, performing, supervising, and interpreting laboratory and imaging studies; prescribing medication and durable medical equipment; and making appropriate referrals for patients and families. In addition, AC-PNP care also includes health promotion, disease prevention, health education, and counseling. The AC-PNP will function as a leader within nursing and inter-professional teams, fostering open communication, mutual respect, and shared decision-making to achieve quality patient care. Licensures/Certifications: Registered Nurse License (RN); Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) License; Prescriptive Authority License; PNP Primary Care, Acute Care, or Dual Acute/Primary Care certification within five years of hire; BLS/CPR from the American Heart Association; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certificate/Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
