ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Accountable to the unit Manager and/or the Director of the department. Adherence to identified nursing standards of practice. IV competency in IV therapy. Must demonstrate competency in medication administration and knowledge prior to administering medications. The RN will direct care provided by the LVN, CNA, nursing student, and/or logistics technician. Responsible for understanding and participating in the organization-wide Performance Improvement Program through orientation, education, departmental and interdepartmental quality control, performance improvement, and quality planning activities. Job Title: X-Ray Technician/MA Reports To: Center Manager Summary: The X-Ray Technician/MA will be responsible for assisting in examination and treatment of patients under direction of the Physician. Gives injections or treatments and performs routine laboratory tests Inputs data into computer to maintain office and patient records Requirements: Must have a current X-Ray Technician Limited Permit issued by the California Department of Public Health (expanded scope is ideal- to include digital radiography, chest, extremities, and torso-skeletal) is required Must be Medical Assistant certified Must have prior experience performing EKGs, blood drawing, vital signs and IM injections. Must be able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced work environment Must have a neat and professional appearance Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills Working Conditions: Center-Based. Requires working in a clinical setting. The noise level is moderate and there is a potential for exposure to infectious diseases and blood-borne pathogens. The ability to stand and sit for hours at a time, (with some bending and stooping), ability to use manual dexterity in relation to clinical requirements, and ability to lift 50 lbs.
