Position Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) Public Health Case Manager oversees comprehensive case management for individuals requiring public health care, including well-child checkups, immunizations, tuberculosis and other infectious disease screening and diagnostic testing, management of chronic health conditions, and infectious disease case investigations. The role entails training Community Health Aides and Practitioners (CHA/Ps) to competently administer public health testing, examinations, immunizations, and assist with screening, diagnostic testing, treatment, and case investigation as needed. Responsibilities of the position includes participating in the design, execution, monitoring, quality assurance, and assessment of the Well Child/Immunization and other public health programs. This includes identifying areas of improvement and proposing effective strategies to enhance program performance. The incumbent is expected to travel to various villages to render services and provide on-site instruction, and supports CHA/Ps in conducting examinations, assisting with testing, and administering immunizations, ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols. Position Summary: Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation. Is responsible for directing and coordinating nursing care for patients based on nursing practice standards. Collaborates with other healthcare professional to provide quality, cost-effective and efficient care and to achieve the best possible patient outcome. Serves as a resource person when the situation requires. Applies age specific considerations and cultural diversity when rendering patient care. Supports Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation’s mission statement. Is responsible for care of all patients from birth to elderly. Position Qualifications: Must have completed a program of education in nursing from an NLN approved institution. Minimum experience preferred include 1 – 2 years recent OB experience Must be licensed in good standing in the State of Alaska as a Registered Professional Nurse. Current BLS, NRP, & Fetal Monitoring. C#
