Position Summary: The Specialty Nurse functions under the direction of the Specialty Clinic Charge Nurse. During the intake process, the Specialty Nurse gathers pertinent information regarding current symptoms, medical history, and medications in order to assist in plans of care, and will schedule follow up appointments as needed. The Specialty Nurse is responsible for the care of all patients from two years old through elderly, and is able to apply age specific considerations and cultural diversity with the delivery of care. As needed, the Specialty Nurse assists in managing the Outpatient Nurse Clinic. Two years minimum suggested experience level. Should have experience with reading radiographs and dispensing medication.
