This Registered Nurse (RN) Manager is for the Float Team. 7:30am-3:30pm. On Call and holiday rotation. Pay range $51 - $52 / hour. A Registered Nurse (RN) Manager oversees the daily management and coordination of the interdisciplinary team(s) involving Hospice in-home care and/or long term care. Responsibilities include managing and planning of patient/resident care operations; ensuring all compliance standards are met. Supervises members of the IDG Team including Field RN's, LPN's, Therapists, PCA's, Social Workers, Pastoral Care, Nutrition Counselors, and contracted staff. Essential Duties and Responsibilities for a Registered Nurse (RN) Manager: Ensures compliance with organization criteria and regulations as well as state and federal regulations as they apply to the Hospice Home Care programs; communicates updates/changes to staff. Assists in the recruiting, hiring, developing and evaluating of key personnel; ensures clinically competent staffing levels are maintained. Works with the Director to establish goals and objectives including cost containment efforts. Collaborates with the Director, Chief Clinical Officer and Director of Quality Improvement in the implementation of an agency wide Continuous Quality Improvement Program; assists in monitoring activities that are both patient and organizational focused to promote clinical quality. Handles implementation of care to meet the physical, psycho-social and spiritual needs of the patient/family while maintaining standards of care consistent with the Hospice Philosophy which can be verified through outcome measures. Assures the accuracy and policy compliance of all initial, renewal and modified orders and reviews all PPOC's for procedural compliance. Assures timely completion of all hospice recertification's and assist the IDG Team in documenting patient's status and needs to appropriately support the Hospice programs and level of care. Completes fiscal responsibilities (i.e. pharmacy and outpatient invoice review) timely and assures that services and interventions (i.e. medications, advanced therapies) are included in the PPOC. Initiates, completes and assures clinical oversight of advanced therapies per the Clinical Case Management Review process. Prepares staffing schedules as appropriate and anticipates staffing profile needs; plans and participates in the orientation and staff development needs to assure that program personnel are current in clinical information and practices. Responds to clinical on-call needs with appropriate interventions and staff guidance.
