Starting hourly rate is $27.05. Qualifications: Required Education and Experience License Requirement License or permit to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of New York. Education and Experience Graduation from an accredited practical nursing school’s LPN program. Nurse II - Endoscopy

Title: Nurse II - Endoscopy Job Type: Regular Company: Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center Department: Nursing - Endoscopy Time Type: Full time Weekly Hours: 37.5 FTE: 0.9375 Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Summary: The Nurse II oversees and coordinates daily clinical and operational activities in the Endoscopy Department working with anesthesia providers, endoscopists, surgeons, and endoscopy nursing and ancillary staff; arranges, manages and facilitates the sequencing of procedures and verifies that clinical resources are available and properly prepared (equipment, supplies and the appropriate personnel for the procedure); manages day to day departmental operation flow and allocation of resources. We offer a starting pay of $47.58 per hour, based on your experience, along with a comprehensive and highly competitive benefits package Qualifications: Required Education and Experience License and Certification Requirement 1. License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York; and 2. Certification or eligibility for Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). Education and Experience 1. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time nursing experience in an oncology support setting; or 2. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time nursing experience in an acute care support setting; or 3. Associate’s degree in Nursing and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time nursing experience in an oncology support setting; or 4. Associate’s degree in Nursing and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time nursing experience in an acute care support setting. NOTE: 1. Incumbents must obtain and maintain applicable certification, as required by area of specialty, within eighteen (18) months of appointment to this position as a condition of continued employment in this title. 2. As a condition of continued employment, incumbents must obtain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) within six (6) months of their appointment to this title. 3. Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices. Preferred Qualifications: Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and a minimum of two years of nursing experience, ideally with background in endoscopy. Candidates with board certification in a nursing specialty and a demonstrated stable work history will be strongly considered.
