If you are a student looking for one, two or three shifts per week, we can work with your schedule. Positions regularly scheduled 20 or more hours per week include the full state benefit package. We offer 8-hour shifts and currently have openings for all shifts. Evening shift employees receive an additional 10% shift differential! Night shift employees receive an additional 15% shift differential! We guarantee hours for full-time employees regardless of census! DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: CNA/Unit Secretary Provides basic nursing care that includes actions that meet psychosocial needs and communication needs within the nursing assistant’s scope of practice. Serves as department receptionist, receiving and transmitting messages (personal, telephone, computer) or inquiries to the appropriate destination. Performs other general administrative duties as required (e.g., emails, filing, ordering supplies, etc.). Performs stocking of the nurse servers in patient rooms and specialty carts or areas on a routine basis. Ensures that patient daily hygiene needs are met (i.e., bathing, brushing teeth, changing of bed linen, etc.) under the direction of the bedside RN. Demonstrates ability to handle patients safely and utilizes proper body mechanics and techniques; uses gait belt with transfer of fall risk patients Assists in maintenance of equipment as needed. Transport patients, blood, specimens, and other items as needed. Notifies appropriate licensed personnel when patient complains of pain and when vital signs, or intake and output are less than or greater than acceptable ranges. Description Perform clinical and receptionist duties to support the Nursing Department and patient care functions.
