Description The Student Medical Assistant is a participant in an approved clinical training program designed to provide hands-on, supervised experience in a healthcare setting. Students will perform basic medical assisting duties under direct supervision at all times, applying knowledge and skills learned in the modules to real patient care situations. The student will not function independently and will only perform tasks authorized by the supervising provider or instructor. Requirements Enrolled in an accredited Medical Assistant educational program approved by North Canyon Medical Center. Participation contingent on active enrollment and academic standing. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required. Must adhere to all facility policies, safety procedures, and infection control guidelines. Basic computer and typing skills required; experience with EHR preferred. BLS required within 6 months of starting. Must be supervised at all times by a licensed provider, nurse, or certified medical assistant.
Description Perform clinical and receptionist duties to support the Nursing Department and patient care functions. This nursing care ranges from preoperative intervention onto postoperative evaluation. Requirements Current Registered Nurse license in state of Idaho. Current BLS and ACLS certification. Ability to work well with physicians, employees, patients, and others. Obtain PALS certification within one year of hire. Ability and willingness to work with patients’ growth and development needs particularly related to the age of patients in the unit/area(s) of assignment.
