Example of duties:

  • Performs personal nursing care for elderly residents
  • Determines resident needs and takes and records vital signs
  • Provides personal hygiene care and maintains a safe and sanitary resident-care environment
  • Lifts, positions, transports, and escorts residents and assists with walking and other body movements
  • Feeds residents who require assistance and implements individual resident treatment plans as outlined by supervisor
  • Records resident care, reporting changes in physical or mental status to health-care team

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Possession of current Nursing Assistant Certification and listed on the Idaho State Nurse Aide Registry, OR
  • Completion of a state-approved nurse aide training or competency evaluation program (NATCEP) and eligible for placement on the State Nurse Aide Registry, which requires:

Verification of completion of a state approved NATCEP;
AND
Verification the skills competency test has been passed;

AND 

Verification the written test has been scheduled for placement on the CNA Registry.
