Foundation Medical Partners - Certified Nurse Midwife - The Birth Place

Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced CNM to join our growing labor and delivery team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing comprehensive care to women during childbirth, fostering a safe and supportive environment for mothers and their newborns. You will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure the best possible outcomes for mothers and babies.

Responsibilities:

Provide patient-centered care to women in labor, including monitoring fetal heart rate, assessing labor progress, and implementing pain management techniques.
Schedule: 102, twelve-hour shifts/year
Vaginally deliver newborns in a safe and compassionate manner, adhering to all established protocols.
Act as first assist on cesarean sections. Perform telephone triage of obstetric and gynecologic patients.
Participate in student and resident education.
Educate and counsel mothers on breastfeeding, newborn care, and postpartum recovery.
Identify and manage potential complications during labor and delivery, collaborating with physicians as needed.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
Participate in ongoing education and stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in midwifery practice.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Nurse-Midwifery (MSN) from an accredited program.
Certification as a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) by the American Midwifery Certification Corporation (AMCC).
Minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery within a hospital setting.
Strong clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, and intervention.
Proficiency with EPIC EMR
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
Commitment to providing patient-centered care with a focus on respect for women's choices.
