Job Duties

Cares for all patients who enter the OR suite. *
Acts in the role of a scrub nurse. *

Assists in patient transfer to cart at the end of procedure. *
Returns soiled instruments to decontamination room for terminal sterilization. *
Assists team with cleaning of room. *
Assists in the prepping room for the next patient. *

Required Education and Experience

Graduate from an accredited school of Surgical Technologists: Prefer Certified Surgical Tech with previous experience working as a surgical tech.
(LPN's only) Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Minnesota. Who has operating room scrub tech experience from another facility.
Knowledge of nursing principles, policies, procedures, and medical ethics equivalent to years of experience.
Excellent communication skills at various levels.
Ability to work in a team setting.
Attention to detail, organization, and prioritization.
Computer skills including Microsoft Word.
Certifications: Basic Life Support.
