Scripps Mercy Hospital has served central and downtown San Diego since 1890 and is the oldest medical center in the county. The San Diego campus is located near the corner of 5th Avenue and Washington Street in Hillcrest.

Scripps Mercy Hospital consists of two campuses in San Diego and Chula Vista.

Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego’s campus includes the O’Toole Breast Care Center, a 24-hour emergency room that is a Level I Trauma Center, outpatient physical rehabilitation, minimally invasive robotic surgery and our childbirth unit (including a Level II neonatal intensive care unit).

This is a benefited, full-time position working 12-hr night shifts generally from 7pm-7:30am.

Join the Med/Surg Overflow Unit on the 9th Floor at Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego, where you will be part of a mission-driven team dedicated to compassionate, high-quality patient care in a supportive and collaborative environment. This unit offers a dynamic clinical setting with a broad patient population, providing an excellent opportunity to strengthen core medical-surgical skills and gain valuable experience across a wide range of conditions.

In this role, you will provide direct patient care within the scope of your practice, including comprehensive assessment, care planning, implementation of individualized plans of care, and evaluation of patient progress toward expected outcomes. You will take primary responsibility for coordinating patient care as delivered by the interdisciplinary care team under your supervision and work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered outcomes.

This position is eligible for New Hires and Relocation Incentives up to $7k.

Required Qualifications

• One (1) year of RN experience
• Current CA Registered Nurse License
• Current BLS from the American Heart Association
• Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing
• Medical Surgical RN acute care experience

Position Pay Range: $59.16-$85.68/hour
