What will you do?

Preform Primary nursing care for patients undergoing Orthopedic, Vascular, GI, GU, GYN surgeries

  • Assessments, medication administration (Pyxis and Omnicell), wound care, management of lines/ drains/ tubes
  • Monitor patient progress, laboratory values, vital signs, symptoms, telemetry/ EKG readings
  • Patient and family education
  • Collaboration with physicians, PT, OT, case managers, nursing assistants, and various health care team members to achieve optimal patient care
  • Documentation of patient care, medication administration, care team communication through electronic medical records EPIC system.
