Jennie Stuart Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Health Unit Registered Nurse to join our team at the JSH Medical Center. This full-time, regular/at-will position is integral to our commitment to providing exceptional care to patients with mental health conditions. As a Behavioral Health Unit Registered Nurse, you will work under the direction of the Clinical Nurse Manager and be responsible for delivering nursing care in line with departmental and hospital policies and procedures. Your role will include administering and recording medication, maintaining IV access, assessing and documenting patient conditions, and implementing changes in the plan of care. You will be expected to ensure patient orientation to the unit, address identified problems, and maintain accurate records, including flow sheets, I&O sheets, and medication administration records. Your vigilance in reporting changes in patient status and progress in response to the teaching plan is crucial.
