Operating Room RN The Moreland Surgery Center is a joint venture with ProHealthCare and allows for a collaborative effort between hospital and physicians to providing safe, high-quality economical ambulatory surgical services to our community. To ensure the highest quality standards are achieved, the facility has been accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) and is a certified provider for Medicare and Medicaid patients. The Moreland Surgery Center is comprised of 7 multi-purpose operating room suites located within the Moreland Medical Center building, on the corner of Moreland and Delafield Street in Waukesha. Services include: ENT, Ophthalmology, General/Vascular, Dental, Gynecology, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, and Urology. The circulating RN advocates for patient safety within the surgical process. The surgical RN collaborates and delegates with a team of highly trained professionals including anesthesiologists, surgeons, surgical technologists, charge nurse, radiology technicians, and other peers to achieve the highest quality of care. Patient care in the perioperative setting is dynamic and depends on the clinical knowledge, judgement, reasoning, and responsiveness of the circulating RN. Minimum of 3 years OR experience required. BLS, ACLS Hours of operation: 6:00-1730 Monday through Friday. Start times vary. No weekends, holidays, or call. We Are Hiring: Registered Nurse (RN) - Oconomowoc Med/Surg 0.9 FTE (Nights) We are seeking compassionate and professional staff members to join the medical, surgical and orthopedic unit at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital! Our second floor unit includes an Orthopedic Center for Excellence with a 24 bed unit focusing on for total hip, shoulder and knee replacements patients and cares for orthopedic fractures. We also serve a small medical population. Our three south unit includes an 11 bed unit with medical patients and general surgical patients. These patients include: sepsis, cardiac, stroke, renal, CHF, COPD, respiratory illnesses. The surgical population includes appendectomy, small bowel obstructions and various other surgeries. The Medical Surgical Unit at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital is focused on the needs of the patient and helping one another to meet those needs. Our patient management on both units may include telemetry monitoring, continuous medication infusions, wounds, varieties of tubes and drains. There are approximately 60 staff members that include experienced and newer staff including, CNA’s, RN’s, and Unit Clerks. We Are Hiring: Clinical Nurse III (0139) The Emergency Department is a fast pace, high acuity ED with 35 patient rooms. We are a Stroke Center, Chest Pain Accredited, and a Level 3 Trauma Center. The unit sees 40,000 plus patients annually (birth to end of life). In addition to providing emergency services to patients of all ages the department supports victims of sexual abuse with specially trained sexual assault nurse examiners (SANE). The ED has about 80 staff members – Nurses, Techs, and HUCs. Schedule Details: This .9 FTE commits to 36 hours per week on the PM shift. This position has a schedule of three 12 hour shifts per week 1500- 0300, with an every other weekend and holiday rotation. This is not a seasonal or temporary position. All discussion pertaining to the transfer request are to be documented in EPIC as part of the transfer documentation. Constantly collaborates with physicians, nursing, admitting, and hospital patient flow to ensure that patients are transferred in a timely manner, meeting the hospital standards. Work closely with hospital patient flow to strategize patient placement to ensure that patients are placed in the right location and optimize the occupancy for each hospital. The Staff RN - Ambulatory Services systematically and continuously collects and assesses data related to patient health status to develop, execute and evaluate the plan of care. The Staff RN - Ambulatory Services utilizes evidence to drive clinical decisions and practice related to individual and population health. The Staff RN - Ambulatory Services establishes goals and strategies for meeting care coordination needs across settings with the patient, family, and/or other care providers. The Staff RN - Ambulatory Services considers factors related to safety, effectiveness and fiscal accountability in planning and delivering care. The Staff RN - Ambulatory Services delegates and supervises care in accordance with the WI Nurse Practice. The Staff RN - Ambulatory Services participates in continuous quality improvement initiatives and assumes responsibility for their professional development. Major responsibilities of this role will include one or more of the following: o Perform/direct ACLS o Independent rhythm interpretation and defibrillation o Administration of advanced lifesaving medications o Independent, templated (“RN-only”) visits for patient assessment, with action taken based on established protocols and/or clinical practice standards using clinical judgement to determine intervention timing/specifics. o Specialty patient education where certification/additional certificate is required for role (listed in job requirements) o Sedation o Telemetry monitoring & interpretation/management of rhythm changes o Assisting with complex procedures - (RN doing care / work on patient, or RN has role in treatment / procedure, etc.) o Advanced wound therapy (VACs, debridement, etc.) o Central line management (TPA administration) and maintenance (dressing / cap changes, access / flushing) o Device interrogation and interpretation with resultant action o Complex infusions (concurrent infusions, hazardous medication administration, blood and blood products, etc.) Work may also include patient care coordination, direct patient care, patient education, telephone triage/eVisits, and performing/assisting with minor procedures. May float to other areas on as needed for operations need. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: Clinical experience and/or interest in the care and management of patient populations specific to the area of employment is required. At least 1 year of relevant nursing experience is preferred. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: Nursing licensure is required. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred. LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact). American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
