The PNA is responsible for contributing to the development, evaluation and reassessment of care plans through observing and reporting changes in patient behavior and physical status. The PNA is also responsible for assisting in the maintenance of the safe and therapeutic environment of the unit. The individual is competent to care for patients in the following age groups: adult (ages 19 - 64) and geriatric (ages 65 +). Demonstrates an understanding of, and embraces, the mission statement of the Christian Health Care Center. Competencies: Supervises or assists in after meal care (removing trays, encouraging patients in brushing teeth, washing up, etc.). Serves food trays. Assists with feeding as indicated.
