Located on our historic campus in Towson, Maryland, Sheppard Pratt School and Residential Treatment Center (RTC) is a Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) approved, level V nonpublic school. We offer a year-round therapeutic educational and residential program catering to youths ages 12-18 with emotional and behavioral challenges. Our comprehensive program offers structured community and recreational activities alongside full-day special and general education schooling. What to expect. You will promote the health and well-being of our students, ensuring they have access to quality medical care and support through their educational journey. You will provide comprehensive nursing care to students with various medical needs , including but not limited to medication, administration wound care, and first aid. Specific responsibilities include: Coordinating with caregivers to provide medical treatment as indicated by student’s health needs and history. Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Emergency Services at GBMC - Towson, MD

This position is part-time employed through Sheppard Pratt Solutions on behalf of Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC). Sheppard Pratt partners with health systems nationwide to deliver high-quality acute psychiatric care in local communities. What to expect: Based in GBMC’s Emergency Department, this role offers a unique opportunity to provide urgent psychiatric evaluation, stabilization, and treatment to patients in crisis. Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners in this setting play a vital role in delivering timely, patient-centered care while working closely with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe and appropriate next steps for each patient. Specific responsibilities include: Conduct psychiatric evaluations, including risk and diagnostic assessments. Provide crisis intervention and stabilization for patients in acute distress. Prescribe and manage medications using evidence-based practices. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care. Facilitate referrals and transitions to appropriate inpatient or community-based services. Maintain accurate documentation and regulatory compliance. Support quality improvement initiatives and serve as a resource to ED staff. What we need from you: Required: Current, unrestricted Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner license in Maryland with active Controlled Substances Registration and valid DEA Certificate. Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program. Preferred Experience: Minimum of two years of experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in acute psychiatric settings, ideally in an Emergency Department or consultation-liaison psychiatry. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams in high-acuity environments. Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and resilience in managing a fast-paced, diverse caseload. The pay range for this part-time position is $87,360 minimum to $101,088 maximum. Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to, board certifications and years and level of related experience. Registered Nurse Towson - The Retreat (Day/Eve, PRN)

The Retreat at Sheppard Pratt consists of a 22 bed residential program nationally renowned for expert care. The Retreat is designed for patients seeking a comprehensive evaluation and intensive treatment experience in a psychotherapeutic milieu, unencumbered by the payment policies of third parties in order to give our residents a chance to make meaningful progress toward recovery. The Retreat offers an elegantly appointed setting in a specially renovated space on Sheppard Pratt's main campus in Towson (Baltimore County). Residents stay for an intermediate length of several weeks to several months. The Retreat embodies a multi-disciplinary treatment approach to a variety of psychiatric conditions that can be treated safely and effectively in a voluntary, unlocked environment. These psychiatric conditions may include mood disorders, personality disorders, anxiety disorders, and/or co-occurring disorders including substance-use disorders. Individualized treatment consists of the following elements: Psychopharmacological interventions Intensive individual psychotherapy and family therapy Group therapy including DBT, psychodynamics, recreation therapy, art therapy, Eastern movement and meditative practices, and other evidence-based group therapies Co-occurring Program as indicated for some individuals As a Registered Nurse at The Retreat you will perform a full range of professional psychiatric nursing services, including : Participating in assessing, planning, administering, and evaluating patient care in accordance with team treatment plans. Administering medical treatment as prescribed by physician Teaching and providing psychosocial support to patients and their families Providing day-to-day clinical direction to assigned Mental Health Workers or other paraprofessional staff Documenting and reporting patient progress to treatment team Transporting residents to appointments and activities on and off campus Conducting therapeutic groups for residents Attending to emergency codes throughout hospital Requirements: Must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland (or compact state) at time of appointment and continuously while in position.
