Advanced Practice Rn Provider-Pre-Admission Testing

Pre-Admission Testing Advanced Practice Provider MetroHealth is seeking a part-time Pre-Admission Testing Advanced Practice Provider (APP). This provider will work in the ambulatory setting evaluating the patient’s readiness for a surgical or invasive procedure as well as the required anesthesia. Although this is an autonomous position, there will be close collaboration with anesthesiology. Clinical responsibilities include comprehensive chart review to formulate an appropriate history and physical, total patient assessment, ordering and evaluating diagnostic testing, collaborate with multiple specialties, provide patient education, and routinely communicate with anesthesia and surgical services. Recent graduates may apply and will be enrolled in MetroHealth’s Transition to Practice program. This is a yearlong program that includes monthly hospital onboarding as well as weekly clinical didactics (CME hours provided). Enrollment will be based on clinical experience of candidate. Qualifications Required : Graduate of an accredited advanced practice program (APRN/PA) Current registered nurse licensure in the State of Ohio and Ohio Certificate of Authority as an APRN or Current Physician’s Assistant licensure in Ohio. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or obtains within 90 days of hire. Meets the requirements/qualifications for clinical privileges in the specialty/department with The MetroHealth System and must report to Medical Staff Office at time of hire to apply for clinical privileges.
