The practitioner will provide care to adults with life-threatening illnesses and will be an integral part of the critical care team headed by an attending intensivist, who will be on-site 24/7. Duties include ICU rounding, Rapid Response Team leader, procedures including intubations, central line insertion, arterial line insertion. APP will be able to work 6 (12-hour) shifts per month. Combination of night week day and weekend shifts. 6pm-6am Nationally certified Advanced Practice Provider who provides primary and/or specialty care in a variety of healthcare settings. Functions in collaboration with the health care team in accordance with certification and licensure. Practice emphasizes health promotion, disease prevention and the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic health problems. Responsible for dissemination of knowledge through instructing, leading and developing educational programs. Responsibilities: Conducts thorough medical histories, performs complete physical examinations (where indicated), initiates appropriate lab, radiology tests or other special tests required for evaluation of illness, and scrutinizes lab data to establish a record of the patient's current health status and to develop a working diagnosis and treatment plan. Works in collaboration with the health care team. Performs and interprets common laboratory, radiologic, cardiographic and other routine diagnostic procedures used to identify pathophysiologic processes as credentialed and privileged by the Medical Executive Committee and the Governing Body of the applicable hospitals. Job Details Strongsville is expanding with their advanced-practice provider coverage, and looking for compassionate, hard-working individuals to join our large group of advanced-practice providers. Applicants will be joining a fast-paced program and will be responsible for ambulatory care for pediatric patients. The primary care pediatrics department is ready to add a qualified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to its team. The location would be the Strongsville FHC Surgery Center. This coverage could include future locations as well as some floating but the home site will be Strongsville. Provider in this role will work to the top of competency providing holistic care to children in pediatrics. All candidates must be experienced and graduates of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or PA program to be considered. The ideal candidate has ambulatory experience, preferably in pediatrics and should be comfortable handling a wide range of responsibilities throughout the day including patient care, procedures and working with a team to accomplish team care.
