Applicants will be joining a fast-paced program and will be responsible for ambulatory care for all age-range patients. The primary care department is ready to add a qualified Advanced Practice Provider to its team. The location would be Willoughby Hills /East Market. This coverage will include both direct patient facing and virtual work schedule. It will include floating with a home site of Willoughby Hills. The provider in this role will work to the top of competency providing holistic care to children/adults in family and internal medicine. All candidates must be graduates of an accredited program to be considered. The ideal candidate has ambulatory experience, preferably in primary care and should be comfortable handling a wide range of responsibilities throughout the day including patient care, procedures and working with a team to accomplish team care. The standard hours for this role vary by location and need. Weekends, holidays, and call may be required for the role. Preferred qualifications: 1 year advanced practice experience in primary care. The chosen candidate will be responsible for seeing both new and established patients in clinic with common diagnosis including: acute and chronic pancreatitis, pancreatic masses (benign and malignant), exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, biliary tree abnormalities including obstructions/strictures/stones/cancers, esophageal cancer, Barrett’s esophagus, GERD, gastrointestinal bleeding/obscure anemia, abdominal pain, esophageal strictures, esophageal motility disorders, Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis, strictures and obstructions of the GI tract, gastrointestinal tract malignancies and patients with abnormal diagnostic testing of the GI tract. If there is not enough need for Advanced Endoscopy patients to fill the APP’s schedule they will supplement with General GI patients. A small portion of the APP’s time each week will be dedicated to projects within the section. Delivers direct patient care consistent with the advanced practice registered nurse’s education, experience and certification, in collaboration with a physician, which includes diagnosis, management and/or referral of health care issues. Promotes consumer, family, and community health through preventative health care actions and through patient advocacy. The advanced practice registered nurse may also manage complex illnesses and/or deliver specialty care. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System. Metro Life Flight: Responsible for advanced emergency and critical care patient management during air and ground transport of the critically ill or injured patient from the scene or outlying sites to participating secondary and tertiary care institutions.
