Provides crisis intervention and ongoing support and education to victims and support persons throughout treatment; appropriately refer victims for immediate and follow-up medical care and/or counseling. 9. Provides discharge instructions, follow-up medical care options and referrals, which may include Victims of Violent Crime Compensation. 10. Schedules and performs medical follow-up as per protocol and as needed. 11. Participates in peer review, process improvement and quality review. 12. Maintains annual competencies to conduct forensic evidentiary examinations. 13. Provides expert testimony in court when indicated/subpoenaed. 14.
