Renal Specialists of NWA is comprised of 6 Nephrologists and 3 Advanced Practice Providers. Essential Position Responsibilities Perform physical examinations of patients to evaluate health and diagnose illnesses Order and perform diagnostic tests, such as x-rays and laboratory tests Determine, plan, and provide appropriate treatment Prescribe and dispense medications Document and maintain electronic medical records Educate and counsel patients and families on presenting health problems, treatment plans, and home care, and encourage and promote preventative health care and positive health behaviors Request consultation or referral with other health care providers Actively maintain knowledge of current medical research and trends, and support research projects Travel to dialysis units within northwest Arkansas Qualifications Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited Adult/Gerontology Primary Care or Family Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program Licensure and Certifications: Advanced Practice Provider license, BLS, and national certification required Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience in a previous clinical role required.
