Hospitalist APRN Mid-shift 

Job Summary 

Practices autonomously and in collaboration with other health care professionals to treat and manage patient's health problems and serve in various settings as researchers, consultants, and patient advocates for individuals, families, groups, and communities. Performs comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, and manages illness and disease. Performs other duties as assigned. 

Job Responsibilities 

• Develops a plan of care within scope of practice of the nurse practitioner utilizing written protocols to ensure quality patient care. 

• Uses prescriptive authority, procedures, referrals, treatments, and theories in accordance with state/federal laws and regulations. 

• Enhances quality and effectiveness of nursing practice. 

• Interacts with and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues. 

• Supports lifelong learning. 

• Completes assigned goals.

Experience 

Minimum Required 

1-year clinical experience functioning in the nurse practitioner role in a primary care setting.

Education

Either a Masters or Doctoral level as a nurse practitioner.

Overview Intensive Care Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Job Description Job Summary Intensive Care Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) will provide advanced care to critically ill patients in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting, collaborating with physicians and healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes. Skilled in use and interpretation of data from complex monitoring systems such as ventilators, blood gas analysis, CPAP, BiPAP, IABP, Impella, ECMO, advanced hemodynamic monitoring devices (i.e. pulmonary artery catheter), and intracranial pressure monitoring. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide evidence-based critical care. Educate patients and families on disease management and post-ICU recovery. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. Qualifications Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing (MSN/DNP) or Physician Assistant with a specialization in Acute Care. Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in the state of practice. Board certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) or Physician Assistant. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in critical care settings preferred. Strong clinical skills in managing ventilators and advanced life support therapies.
