St. Luke’s Level IV Medical Detoxification Unit offers the highest level of medical detoxification available. This detox unit, featuring 16 private rooms in a calming setting, is the only type of medical detoxification unit with the ability to simultaneously manage SUD while treating new or underlying medical conditions. Physicians, advanced practitioners, registered nurses, patient care assistants and dietitians work side by side to treat medical issues or co-existing disorders that could be exacerbated during withdrawal. Providing 24 hour medical supervision, we can safely and comfortably manage the detoxification process from alcohol, opioids, benzodiazepines and other substances while effectively managing medical conditions. Adult Units treating those 18-54 years of age use a team approach to assess each individ93ual and provide a treatment plan including active discharge planning for services on an outpatient basis. Older Adult Units treat adults 55 years of age and over with the same team approach in an intimate setting created to address the unique needs of older adults. The Extended Acute Care treats adults who require further therapeutic treatment in an in-patient setting.
