Hematology Oncology Clinic Full Time 87888BR Job Summary Reporting to the Director of Operations for Hematology, Blood and Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapies (HBC), the Director of Nursing, HBC is a clinical leader and contributes to the development of UCSF Health and the Cancer Center’s strategic goals and objectives as well as overall standards of nursing practice. The Director of Nursing is a member of the HBC management team and works within the framework of the mission and values established by UCSF Health. The Director of Nursing oversees all adult HBC faculty practices clinical operations, systems and processes, providing direct and indirect supervision of administrative and clinical staff in multiple departments including; malignant hematology, nonmalignant hematology, blood & marrow transplant and cellular therapies. The Director of Nursing ensures exemplary provision of care to research and standard-of-care patients in both inpatient and ambulatory settings. Working in a matrixed environment, the Director of Nursing partners to develop systems for integration with the broader health system (e.g. infusion, radiation oncology, inpatient services, pharmacy, imaging, labs, UC satellite locations). The Director of Nursing ensures patient care standards are achieved and in alignment with internal policies and rigorous external regulations, including those set by TCH, AABB, ASTCT/CIBMT and FACT to maintain accreditation status for stem cell transplants and CAR-T therapies. The Director of Nursing serves on system-wide and cross-functional committees and has external presence in community and professional organizations and societies. Responsibilities would include assisting the Director of Operations and the VP/COO with annual goal setting and assisting with the implementation of strategies to achieve the goals. Qualified candidates have RN or NP licensure, direct care and management experience in an oncology setting and are passionate about enhancing oncology staff, provider and patient experience. Primary Care Services Full Time 87604BR Job Summary Under the supervision of the UCSF Primary Care Administrative Nurse Manager, guided by policies and procedures of the Ambulatory Services, the Hospital Assistant II assists in the delivery of care to patients at UCSF Primary Care.The Hospital Assistant II will be primarily responsible for the members of their primary care teamlet as well as providing back up support to other teamlets. The Hospital Assistant II will play a critical role in the patient experience including optimizing clinic flow, providing in and outreach to patients and working collaboratively with the team to create a patient centered environment. This position floats between the front and the back office performing both clerical and clinical duties. Work includes a variety of personal care and nursing care procedures including assuring positive care outcomes. S/he will perform assigned patient care and laboratory procedures in support of services provided to patients within the practices. S/he is required to learn and be able to assist in all functions of the practices to include back and front office. The Hospital Assistant II consistently projects a professional and courteous demeanor, helps establish and maintain the highest service standards for the practice and complies with the Medical Center House and Telephone Standards. The MA must have flexibility to cover multiple UCSF medical center primary care clinic sites. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
