Key Responsibilities: Assisting patients by responding to reports and coordinating services from appropriate personnel or departments as needed. Utilizing comprehensive knowledge or birth control methods and reproductive health services to provide patient education. Providing Planned Parenthood Patient Education Sheets, (PES) and Informed Consent Forms, (ICF) Client and offers Planned Parenthood services or community resources for identified patient’s needs. Optimizing patient satisfaction and efficient use of provider time by providing patient education to each type of visit, ensuing that exam rooms are adequately stocked and prepared prior to visit. Completing patient intake, preparing exam rooms, rooming patients, assisting the clinician, performing lab tests, providing injections, ordering and maintaining supplies, and variety of task which require demonstrating a knowledge of universal precautions, sterile techniques and hazardous waste disposal. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications: 1-2 years in a healthcare setting. National Medical Assistant Certification Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other software applications. Experience with electronics health records.
