Requirements:

  • Active CNA or HCA in the state of Washington
  • Must have a valid Driver's License, proof of auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and fingerprint check
  • Must have the ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions in English
  • US Work authorization (Mandatory)
  • A strong commitment to reliability and punctuality

Duties / Skills (includes, but not limited to):

  • Prepare meals for the Client
  • Perform light housekeeping duties
  • Provide pleasant and supportive companionship
  • Assist Client with mobility (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc)
  • Assist Client with errands and/or shopping
  • Assist Client with limited personal care and hygiene
  • Proven experience as a Caregiver

Job description Assists with active and passive therapeutic exercises under direct supervision of Director of Nursing Services (DNS) or designated Nurse Manager. Instructs, motivates, and assists residents to learn and improve functional activities, such as eating, transfer, ambulation, and daily-living activities, and completes documentations. Observes residents during treatments and compiles and evaluates data on residents’ responses to treatments and progress and reports orally or in writing to Nurse Manager. Confers with members of restorative staff and other health team members, individually and in conference, to exchange, discuss, and evaluate resident information and participation for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatment programs. Records resident information on the restorative flow sheet, according to policy. Assists with resident meal service as assigned. Answers signal lights, bells, or intercom and provide resident care and services needed. Transports resident to and from restorative program. CNA or HCA In Home Caregiver

PAY: $21.50 - $23.50 per hour JOB SUMMARY: The Caregiver performs services for the Client as necessary to maintain the personal care and comfort of the Client, mostly in the Client's home. The Caregiver officially reports to the Director of Client Care, although most day-to-day communication will be with Office staff. CLASSIFICATION: Nonexempt, Hourly HOURS OF WORK: This position offers part-time, temporary employment dependent on Client’s needs. Shifts are generally 1-12 hours long and can result in overtime. PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS: · Understand, perform, and adhere to the information and precautions contained in the Client’s Care Plan. Experience with dementia is especially desirable. · Active Washington State Certified Nursing Assistance (CNA) or Home Care Aide (HCA) license, or in current training to obtain either license, or a willingness to begin coursework for either license within fourteen (14) days of the start of employment. · Active Food Handler’s permit. · Required tuberculosis screenings and/or test results. · Successful criminal background and reference checks. · Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and clean driving record (for Client transportation). · Clean drug test (if requested by Visiting Angels). · Demonstrated competency in and comfort with most or all likely tasks and situations, including hospice. · Ability to listen and communicate clearly, fluently, and diplomatically, both orally and in writing with the Office, Clients, and their families, without imposing personal values or beliefs. PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: · Must be able to lift, push, or pull items weighing up to 25 lbs. · Must be able to perform tasks involving a combination of sitting, standing, bending, reaching, stooping, walking, twisting, and climbing stairs. · Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that enable these senses to function adequately to fully meet the requirements of this position. · Must be able to work in various home environments with exposure to residential noise, debris, lighting, and indoor heating and cooling systems.
