Job Description Summary: This position will support the Advanced Heart Failure program at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Our clinic is open Monday-Friday, 8 AM-4:30 PM, No Weekends and No Holidays. Provides general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care in diverse health care settings. The RN is accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing. The RN delegates nursing tasks to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs) using the criteria written in the Ohio Nurse Practice Act. According to department policies and nursing care standards, provides professional nursing care services to patients. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care provided to assigned patients. Must Haves: Registered Nurse (RN) with current licensure to practice professional nursing in the state of Ohio 2 years of nursing experience Registered Nurse (RN) must possess and maintain current CPR certification Registered Nurse (RN) must be knowledge and have the ability, and the necessary skill and judgment to perform all nursing procedures under the direction of a physician as outlined in the scope of practice in the State’s Nurse Practice Act Meets the requirements for employees providing direct client care Must have a valid driver’s license and use of an insured automobile for work or access to adequate transportation Registered Nurses (RN) must be able to read, write, speak and understand English as needed on the job Participate in in-service education programs as mandated by State law (this requirement need not be met exclusively through Right at Home sponsored in-services programs) WORKING ENVIRONMENT Primarily works in client’s place of residence.
