Description St. Croix Health is looking for a part time (0.6 FTE), Nursing House Supervisor to join our team! This position works day shifts (7 am - 7:30 pm), every third weekend and holiday. The House Supervisor is a representative of patient care/hospital administration on all shifts. The position safeguards the quality of patient care, meeting the needs and goals of St. Croix Health. The House Supervisor is responsible for the management and coordination of all hospital departments and personnel on the off shifts and weekends in the absence of direct line managers. Overall, the House Supervisor serves as an advocate for patient care, staff, and the hospital as a whole. Assuring high quality patient care services are provided in accordance with SCH mission/vision, values, service behaviors, policies/procedures, and regulations. The House Supervisor oversees effective patient placement, assures adequate staffing resources and safe and effective care delivery in the absence of the direct line manager and on all off shifts and weekends. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Competent in the Emergency Department Nurse Staff Role Act as a liaison between patient care units, support departments and organizational leadership, medical staff and other disciplines to assure safe and effective delivery of care in accordance with hospital policy/procedures and protocols or other clinical guidelines. Support overall patient care departments operating goals and needs by managing the off shifts, weekends, and holidays according to established plans for safe and effective staffing to assure high quality patient care. Description St. Croix Health is seeking a RN Supervisor for our Operating Room team. This position is a full-time (1.0 FTE) exempt position. This position manages the day-to-day operation of the unit to maximize patient safety, clinical outcomes, customer satisfaction and inter-departmental workflow. Manage employee relations, oversee recruitment and onboarding activities and also assist with performance assessments and competencies. Provide direct patient care when needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Operational Accountability Assist the respective department Manager or Director in the development, implementation, and evaluation of patient care delivery systems. Collaborate with the respective department Manager/Director and other leadership to ensure the necessary resources are in place to execute the work of the department. Description St. Croix Health is looking for a part-time (0.6 FTE) CNA to work in our Med/Surg department. This position will work straight night shifts (7pm - 7:30am), every 3rd weekend and every 3rd holiday. The Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for performing many basic care tasks for patients, like grooming, dressing, bathing, eating and exercising. They also assist the nursing staff with medical tasks like taking blood, monitoring vitals with medical equipment and reporting patient behavior and wellbeing. Their role is to ensure patients are comfortable and well cared working under the scope of a Registered Nurse. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Assist patients to perform ADLs, such as getting out of bed, bathing, dressing, using the toilet, standing, walking, or exercising Delivers efficient/excellent care to all patients on the unit. Duties include performing ADL’s, transferring, ambulation, dressing, toileting, turning and repositioning, feeding, bathing, etc. Keeps rooms and patient care supplies clean including changing soiled linen, emptying commodes or bedpans Turn or reposition bedridden patients Answer patient call signals to determine patients’ needs Assist patients to eat or drink Undress, wash, and dress patients who are unable to do so themselves Lift or assist others to lift patients to move them on and off beds Supply, collect, or empty bedpans Wash, groom, shave, or drape patients to prepare them for surgery, treatment, or examination 2. Works directly with the care team to deliver quality patient care Communicates openly with team members about changes to meet needs of patients and their families Reports pertinent observations or patient requests to the RN Reports any skin issues to the RN Communicate with nurse about changes in patient care to meet the patients’ needs Assist nurse in operation of medical equipment or provision of patient care Apply clean dressings, slings, stockings, or support bandages, under the direction of the nurse 3. Maintains unit order, cleanliness and safety. Keeps unit and patient rooms orderly completes checklists to ensure stocking and unit maintenance is completed Sends work orders as appropriate Initiates additional cleaning as necessary without prompting, e.g., defrosting refrigerators and organizing cupboards Clean and sanitize patient rooms, bathrooms, examination rooms, and other patient areas Restock patient rooms with personal hygiene items Stock or issue medical supplies 4. Document or report observations of patient behavior, complaints, or physical symptoms to nurses or in EMR Review patients’ dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences to ensure patient receives appropriate diet Observe or examine patients to detect symptoms that may require medical attention, such as bruises, open wounds, etc. Communicate with patients to ascertain feelings or need for assistance or social and emotional support Responds to patient needs in a timely manner; demonstrates use of safety equipment. Position Summary: Pick your own shifts at various locations based on the needs of Monarch Healthcare Management! This is a full-time or on-call position with weekend requirements. Through the collection and analysis of data, the RN is accountable for performing a comprehensive assessment to establish the baseline health status of residents as well as to create a detailed Plan of Care that includes individual needs and preferences. RNs oversee practical nurses, CNAs and nursing personnel through assessment of their knowledge, skill and capabilities; clarifying expectations and addressing behaviors to ensure the safety of residents and to attain the ultimate goal of achieving and maintaining the highest practicable physical, mental and psychosocial well-being of each resident. Qualifications: Completion of a professional nursing education program approved by the Minnesota Board of Nursing. Current Minnesota Registration as a Registered Nurse. Current Certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and emergency care or be willing to get one upon hire. Experience in skilled nursing and/or assisted living facilities preferred.
