What you'll do The Nurse Manager has 24-hour responsibility and accountability for delivery of patient care within the defined patient care areas. What you'll do Under the direction of the medical and nursing personnel, the Perinatal LPN assists in basic care of the antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum and neonatal patient. The Perinatal LPN also maintains unit equipment and supplies, performs basic screening tests, collects specimens and assists physicians, midwives and nurses with procedures and peri-operative cases. Serves as a member of the OB-OR team as a scrub technologist working with OB/GYN surgeons, registered nurse, anesthesiologists, certified nurse anesthetists, and ancillary support personnel whose primary function is scrubbing for surgical cases such as scheduled and/ or emergency C-sections, hysterectomies, and PPTL. These functions include handling instruments, supplies, medication, media, specimens and instrument cases. When required, will function as a second assistant. Surveys the environment of care and maintains the environment in a state of safety and readiness. a. Stocks all areas with appropriate supplies and equipment. b. What we need from you Education: 4 year / Bachelor's degree in Nursing, preferred Experience may be substituted for degree Master's degree in Nursing, preferred All RN’s hired and do not currently hold a BSN will be expected to demonstrate enrollment in a bachelor’s prepared nursing program within 4 years of hire. BSN must be completed within 10 years. RN’s licensed on or before 12/19/17 are/remain exempt from this requirement.
