Purpose of Position: Under the direction of the supervising provider to provide the highest standards of support to the MACC practice. Description Assists in providing clinical care to office patients as delegated by supervising provider Manages provider’s daily schedule and patient flow to expedite care and maximize clinical time Greets and escorts patients to exam rooms, and checks two-patient identifiers Communicates status of delegated task completion to supervising provider Obtains relevant information and takes vital signs as indicated (i.e. height, weight, blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, oxygen saturation) Inputs pertinent clinical information into the electronic health record timely and with accuracy and collects home medication lists Assists clinicians with clinical procedures and/or additional tests specific to the department. Keeps patients informed of visit status, unforeseen delays and other relevant information pertaining to the patient’s visit Prepare and maintain exam rooms for patient arrivals. Clean and/or maintain inventory of supplies (medical included) and equipment throughout the practice. Purpose of Position: Delivers patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Administers and monitors patient responses to all medications. Demonstrated skills in I.V. starts, hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator care, required. One (1) year (within the last five (5) years) recent experience required in ICU/CVICU/CVPA/ER or SDC/PACU. Prior SDC or PACU experience preferred (within the last 5 years). On-call is required for off-shift, weekends and holidays. Schedule Details 24 Hours Per Week, Rotating Days/Eves, 10:00a-6:30p, 11:00a-7:30p.
