Job Description Job Summary: The Coordinator-RN PACE Intake is responsible for driving enrollment and referring patients to promote healthy growth of the program and to enhance market awareness of the PACE program (Program for All-inclusive Care for the Elderly) to potential referral sources and to generate referrals of potential participants within the site area. Educates referral sources regarding the full spectrum of PACE services, including meeting with physicians, hospital discharge planners, leaders in the various post-acute facilities and other potential referral sources in the service area. Additionally, this position assists with community education through participation in community events and speaking engagements. Develops and implements strategies to achieve enrollment goals and develop and sustain referral relationships. The RN-PACE Intake Coordinator will work with the Interdisciplinary Team from referral to evaluation status to make this a seamless and personal process for the participant. Performs other duties as needed. Education and Experience: Bachelor�s Degree in Nursing required. Minimum two years of nursing or case management experience required. Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of nursing assessment methodologies. Job Description Emergency Room (Part-Time, 1500 Shift) Job Summary: The Clinical Nurse B-Emergency Department(ED), functions in the emergency department licensed under Loma Linda University Medical Center-Murrieta (LUMC-Murrieta) which is a designated ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) receiving center. Performs the nursing process (assessment, care planning, intervention, evaluation) with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment that treats a culturally diverse patient population presenting with a variety of illnesses and diseases in varying stages and/or minor and major injuries. Rapidly assesses and stabilizes patients with life-threatening situations. Exhibits solid decision-making skills and effectively utilizes discretion and independent judgment to prioritize, coordinate, provide and document direct and indirect age-specific and developmentally appropriate quality patient-centered care in accordance with LLUMC-Murrieta's established Professional Practice Model (Duffy's Quality Caring Theory). Makes sound decisions, multitasks and balances and prioritizes each patients' needs and treats accordingly. Receives patients from first responders brought in by land and air ambulances, patients that are brought in during mass causalities, and walk-in patients seeking care. Implements standing orders appropriately. Handles unexpected situations and changes in direction calmly and with confidence. Understands the significance each role of the multidisciplinary team plays to provide optimum care to the emergency patient, e.g., prehospital care providers, law enforcement agency staff, chaplains, social workers, case managers, multiple physician services and consult staff, licensed and unlicensed care providers, triage nurses. Demonstrates basic knowledge about agencies governing emergency and trauma services, e.g., Emergency Medical Treatment & Labor Act (EMTALA), local Emergency Medical Services (EMS) agency, Riverside Emergency Medical Services Agency (REMSA) and State Emergency Medical Services Authorities (EMSA), in addition to state and federal hospital regulations. Applies theoretical concepts to clinical practice and continually expands knowledge base and clinical skills with a focus in emergency medicine. Overview The CNS shall be responsible for: Directing the clinical nursing practice in the NICU & Pediatric Unit. Coordination and assessment of educational development and clinical competency of the nursing staff in the NICU; and for ensuring continued neonatal critical care nursing competency through educational programs for both the newly-hired and experienced nursing staff. Consultation with staff on complex neonatal critical care nursing issues. Oversight of comprehensive parent and or primary caretaker education activities. Ensuring the implementation of a coordinated and effective discharge planning program. Evaluation of NICU based on Accrediting and Regulatory Agencies. Coordination and assessment of educational development and clinical competency of the nursing staff in the Pediatric Unit; and for ensuring continued Pediatric nursing competency through educational programs for both the newly-hired and experienced nursing staff. Consultation with staff on Pediatric nursing issues. Oversight of comprehensive parent and or primary caretaker education activities. Ensuring the implementation of a coordinated and effective discharge planning program. Evaluation of Pediatric Unit based on Accrediting and Regulatory Agencies Responsibilities RN licensed by the State of California Certified by the California State Board of Registered Nursing as a CNS. Masters of Science Degree in Nursing. Three years of clinical experience in neonatal nursing care, at least one of which shall have been in a facility with an NICU that is equivalent to a Regional or Community NICU. Current certification in Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing from a nationally recognized accrediting organization, i.e. the NCC; and Current successful completion of the Neonatal Resuscitation Program of the AAP and AHA. 
Overview The DOU RN is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the therapeutic environments, treatment and modalities and interdisciplinary collaboration. Responsibilities Perform initial physiological and psychosocial needs assessment on all patients within 30 minutes of admissions and shift assessment. Identifies problems specific to biophysical, cognitive, developmental, emotional, socio-cultural, and spiritual needs. Demonstrates accountability for on-going awareness of the status of assigned patients. Collects and documents data appropriate to the nature and severity of the condition Qualifications Current California RN License. Current Basic Life Support (Healthcare Provider) and ACLS certification. Completion of Critical Care Course and Dysrhythmia Course if less than 2 years critical care experience. 1 to 2 years DOU/intermediate level/critical care nursing experience preferred. Current NIHSS certification, or within 90 days of employment.
