Unit: Cardiac, pulmonary & PAD rehabilitation is a structured inpatient and outpatient program designed to help cardiac, pulmonary & vascular patients improve their health outcomes through exercise conditioning and education. The program consists of supervised exercise and cardiac specific education. There is also a maintenance phase of the program, designed to help keep our patient’s heart strong and healthy. The IU Health Bloomington Cardiopulmonary/PAD rehabilitation is located on the 3 rd floor of the facility. We rotate between Cardiac rehab and Pulmonary throughout the week. Responsibilities: The RN for this role helps with a variety of tasks that include, but are not limited to patient education, tele monitoring, charting, assisting patients with their Individual Treatment Plan (ITP), checking vitals, resource management, and more. Although previous cardiac experience is preferred, it is not required. We are looking for a nurse who can connect with patients, and help provide a positive/exciting atmosphere. Shift: Monday/Wednesday/Friday from 8:30am - 5:00pm. Weekend rotating once every 8-weeks (Saturday). Qualifications Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred. Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license. Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
