Prepares examination rooms. Prepares patients for examinations. Processes charts. Assists Office Professionals with clerical duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Completes and records the following types of tasks in the Centerstone Health Services’ EMR: Patient vital signs Spirometry readings Administers EKGs Assists with office procedures Administers injections and vaccines Draws and processes blood and lab specimens Renders basic first aid when necessary Ensures that all data elements are captured in each patient visit Assists physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and nurses with examinations of patients; assist patients. Supplies management (ordering and stocking of examination rooms/clinic area); sterilize instruments; clean examination rooms. Prepares patient information and process related paperwork. Follows guidelines and procedures set by both the Medical Director and the CHS Quality Assurance (QA) Team. Responsible for direct patient communications regarding: Lab results Future appointments Hospital admissions Referral appointments Able to answer patient questions or direct them to the proper resources whether in person or over the phone. May be called upon to serve on committees, work groups or other bodies as assigned. Performs clerical duties, including filing, as needed. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods. Ability to assess and chart accurate information by using equipment listed below.
