Nursing Supervisor - Two Day Weekend Scheduler

Hours of Job Two Day Weekend Scheduler - 7 p.m.- 7 a.m. Every Friday and Saturday night. Work 24 hours per week, paid for 36 hours per week. Holiday requirement if falls on the weekend. Weeknight hours 7 p.m. -7 a.m. if picking up extra shifts. Duties and Key Responsibilities Responsible for coordination of resources to meet the needs of patients, staff, and physicians on a shift basis. Shares responsibility for management of human, material, and financial resources of the hospital. Provides leadership and overall management of patient placement, throughput and working with department managers to ensure appropriate staffing that aligns with approved staffing plans and patient acuity. Serves as a role model for professional communication, uses data to problem solve and arrive at decisions, and creates a positive work environment that supports JTDMH's quality, safety, and satisfaction goals. Assists to implement and enforce hospital policies and procedures, contributes to performance appraisals. and takes corrective action as appropriate. Provides coverage for nursing leadership and for the Administrator On-Call as needed to ensure management continuity for planned and unplanned time-off, continuing education, and emergency management. Assumes whole house administrative responsibility in the absence of other leaders and the Administrator On-Call. Requirements Possess exceptional interpersonal, organization and leadership abilities. Strong skills needed in communication, assertiveness and problem solving. Education/Certifications Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN or business-related bachelor's degree highly preferred. Valid, unrestricted license to practice professional nursing in the State of Ohio. Experience Minimum of 2-3 years recent Acute Care experience. ED/Critical Care experience preferred. Previous charge or supervisory experience preferred.
